WELCOME
The Filmmaking & Broadcasting department at Highlands High School is a true marriage of disciplines. From the creative artistry of storytelling in a digital age, to real world, hands on production and client interaction, our program is student led with a strong focus on application. But most of all, we are a dynamic and engaging environment for 21st century learning.
FILMMAKING

Our filmmaking classes at Highlands provide each student with the opportunity to express themselves creatively while learning technical, as well as interpersonal skills that are transferrable to other disciplines.
BROADCASTING
​
The broadcasting department at Highlands has truly become the voice of the school. Using their developing storytelling, researching, and production skills, this class is responsible for producing and presenting the live daily announcements as well as the Highlander News.
VIDEO PRODUCTIONS
​
The Video Productions class at Highlands is an advanced class for production students in at least their third year in the program. The students in this class work with teachers, administrators and other community stakeholders to produce videos for a variety of purposes.
